The most patents registered in the field of cyber security belong to Huawei and Chinese giants
Currently, the largest share of patents in the field of cyber security belongs to Chinese companies, and these companies have increased their share in this matter.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service , the tensions between the United States and China have caused an increase in the number of patents registered by Chinese companies in the field of cyber security. The new report shows that currently 10 companies have the most patents in the field of cyber security, 6 of which are Chinese companies such as Huawei and Tencent.
A report recently published by Nikkei Asia shows that Chinese companies registered many patents in the field of cyber security in August. This report examined about 95 countries in terms of registering relevant patents.
In this report, the American company IBM ranks first with the registration of 6363 patents in August. The next companies were Huawei and Tencent, which registered 5,735 patents and 4,803 patents, respectively. Following this list, there are 6 other Chinese companies, among them Ant Group as the financial part of Alibaba and 3 Chinese companies from State Grid Corp. and Alibaba and the investment company China Investment Corp.
Considering the increasing tensions between the two countries, the US and China, Chinese companies are trying to provide the basis for growth by relying on themselves. Also, companies' access to American technologies is very limited. The United States has placed many restrictions on Chinese companies in the field of artificial intelligence . For example, the Chinese company Huawei did not have access to many of the world's latest technologies due to US sanctions, and these sanctions have isolated this Chinese giant.
But now it seems that all approaches are ineffective and Chinese companies, in addition to distancing themselves from American technologies, are trying to become one of the main technology hubs in the world.
